Beyaz Gıda General Manager: “We Will Launch Our New Products in the Short Term”
Beyaz Gıda, which has been operating in the fields of food additives, food flavors, meat additives, stabilizers, and preservatives under five main headings since 1995, had its General Manager İskender Beyaz answer questions from Gıda 2000.
Can you briefly introduce your company and its areas of activity to our readers?
Beyaz Gıda has been operating in the fields of food additives, food flavors, meat additives, stabilizers, and preservatives under five main headings, with domestic and international experience, since 1995.
You serve especially in the dairy and meat sectors. Can you provide information about your products and their usage areas for these sectors?
Our products for the dairy and meat sectors include antimicrobials, mold-yeast-mold preservatives, stabilizers, and flavorings. These products serve to make our customers’ products more delicious, long-lasting, visually appealing, and of higher quality.
Do you have R&D activities? Will the food sector get to know your new products in the short or medium term?
Beyaz Gıda is a company that places great importance on R&D activities and always continues to invest in this channel. Our R&D activities are always ongoing. Our new products are being prepared to be launched in the short term. Our medium and long-term studies have begun and will always continue.
How will you end 2018, which we have completed the first half of? Will you achieve your targets by the end of the year?
Although the first half of 2018 was challenging, Beyaz Gıda quickly took action, responded to market demands, and increased its turnover. We foresee comfortably reaching our target turnover by the end of 2018.
How do you view 2019, which is said to be a challenging year?
We accept that 2019 will be a challenging year, but with the actions taken and the new product portfolio, we aim to increase our turnover by 30%.
What are the new trends in food ingredients in Turkey and the world?
A traditional production system has been established in our country. This is a tradition and habit that we will certainly continue. In addition, there are different tastes and flavors, practical solutions, and new technologies in the world. As Beyaz Gıda, we have adopted the principle of always following these innovations and bringing them to our country, and we want to lead all food businesses to develop themselves.
Can you tell us about the problems you face in the sector and your suggestions for solutions?
For companies like ours, which adopt the principle of following and introducing innovations to customers, the closed nature and lack of importance shown by food-producing companies are problematic. Based on the feedback we receive from our customers, they face issues with receiving products with standard and reliable logistics guarantees from their suppliers. Customers being price-focused rather than quality-focused drives the sector into difficulty.
